Since it's inception in 1980, Orthofix has enjoyed a proud history of successes by providing surgeons and their patients with innovative solutions for trauma and spine fusion.
Our successes fueled a relentless pursuit to ensure our efforts were meeting the needs of our customers. And that focus led us to grow beyond the realm of our core external fixation and bone growth stimulation products - to discover fresh innovations and solutions. So today, our expanded product offerings include:
- Internal systems to lengthen bone
- Internal nailing systems and percutaneous plating systems to treat fractures
- Plating systems to reconstruct a deformity
- Soft tissue management for rehabilitation
- Cold therapy and infusion pain pumps for post-surgical pain management
Expansion with these products is due in large part to an increased attention to partnerships forged with leading practitioners. Add to that, key product and corporate acquisitions which provided immediate cumulative growth for the organization.
Plus, our concentration on educational programs continues to contribute to significant market acceptance. For instance, Orthofix educates approximately 1,000 surgeons each year through our Texas, California and world-renowned Verona, Italy based programs. Additionally, we continue to develop surgeon champions for local peer-to-peer symposia. We now use every form of media as an educational tool, every medical meeting as an educational opportunity. And education begins at home with our own representatives. Dedicated representative training programs for basic and advanced learning, and apprentice programs in the field hold our employees to the highest knowledge standards. Our philosophy is logical: We innovate, therefore, we educate.
