Alan W. Milinazzo
Group President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Milinazzo joined Orthofix International in 2005 as Chief Operating Officer and succeeded to the position of CEO the following year. Prior to joining Orthofix, Mr. Milinazzo was Vice President of Medtronic Inc.'s Vascular business, as well as, Vice President and General Manager of Medtronic's Coronary and Peripheral businesses. Prior to his time with Medtronic, Mr. Milinazzo spent 12 years as an executive with Boston Scientific Corporation in numerous roles, including Vice President of Marketing for SCIMED Europe. Mr. Milinazzo brings more than two and a half decades of experience in the management and marketing of medical device businesses, including positions with Aspect Medical Systems and American Hospital Supply. He earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, at Boston College in 1981.
Robert S. Vaters
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Vaters joined Orthofix as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2008. Prior to joining Orthofix, he was the General Partner and founder of Med Opportunity Partners, a health care private equity firm. He also served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Inamed Corporation. Mr. Vaters has over 19 years of experience in financial and strategic leadership for global companies, including Arbinet-thexchange, Premiere Technologies, Young & Rubicam, and Sequa Capital.
Thomas Hein, CPA
Executive Vice President of Finance
Mr. Hein was named Executive Vice President of Finance in September 2008. He served as Orthofix’s Chief Financial Officer for more than eight years. Previously, Mr. Hein was the CFO for Prime Vision Health Inc., a diversified health care services company. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Hein was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of MDT Corporation, a sterilization and hospital capital equipment company. Previously, he held financial management positions with Metheus Corporation, Memorex Corporation and Kaiser Aetna.
Bradley R. Mason
Group President, North America and President, Blackstone Medical, Inc.
Mr. Mason was named Group President, North America in July 2008 and President of Blackstone in August 2008. Prior to joining Orthofix, Mr. Mason co-founded BREG, Inc., a sports medicine company, in 1989. Upon Orthofix' acquisition of BREG in December 2003, he first served as a Vice President of Orthofix International N.V., and then advanced to President of the Orthofix Sports Medicine Division. Mr. Mason has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, some of which were spent with dj Orthopedics (formerly DonJoy) where he was a founder and held the position of Executive Vice President. Mr. Mason is the named inventor on 35 issued patents in the orthopedic product arena with several other patents pending.
Michael Simpson
President, Orthofix Inc.
Mr. Simpson became President of the U.S. entity in 2008. He joined Orthofix in 2002 as Vice President of Operations for Orthofix Inc. In 2006, Mr. Simpson was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Operations and General Manager, Orthofix Inc. responsible for world wide manufacturing and distribution. Born in New York, raised and educated in North Texas, Mr. Simpson received his Bachelor of Science in Business and Systems Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. With more than 20 years of experience in a broad spectrum of industries he has held the following positions: Chief Operating Officer, Business Unit Vice President, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Sales, Plant Manager, Director of Finance and Director of Operations. His employment history includes the following companies: Texas Instruments, Boeing, McGaw/IVAX, Mark IV Industries, Intermec and Unilever.
Brad Lee
President, BREG, Orthofix Sports Medicine
Mr. Lee became President of BREG in July 2008. He joined Orthofix in 2005 as Director of Business Development, and in early 2008, became Vice President and General Manager of the BREG Sports Medicine Division. Prior to joining the Orthofix team, Mr. Lee was Vice President of Marketing for LMA North America. He has held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, R&D management and business development in the medical device industry over the past 15 years.
Luigi Ferrari
President, Orthofix International Orthopedic Fixation
Mr. Ferrari has 14 years of experience with Orthofix in the orthopedic medical device industry. He became President of International Orthopedic Fixation in April 2008 and is responsible for the development, manufacturing and sales of fixation systems in international markets. Since February 2006, he was Vice President of Europe and oversaw Orthofix activities in these key geographic markets. He serves also as General Manager of Orthofix Srl, Italy. Mr. Ferrari graduated with a degree in Management Engineering from Politecnico di Milano University in 1992.
Eric Brown
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Orthofix Inc.
Mr. Brown is Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Orthofix Inc. His long-standing career with Orthofix began in 1990. He has held various sales and marketing positions, including Region Manager, Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales. Before joining Orthofix, Mr. Brown spent eight years at Medtronic Neurological. He received his BS in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
Keith Jansen
Senior Vice President and General Manager
Keith Jansen joined Orthofix in 2005 as Vice President and General Manager of its Vascular Division. In his current appointment he has responsibility for the Novamedix, Orthosonics and Intavent Orthofix groups and LMA anesthesia products. Prior to his position at Orthofix, Mr. Jansen was Vice President of Sales for Cortek, Inc. He joined Cortek in 2001 as Director of Marketing. Prior to Cortek, Mr. Jansen spent 13 years at Boston Scientific Corporation, where his final position was Director of Sales Planning. Mr. Jansen graduated with a degree in Economics from Bucknell University in 1985.
Raymond C. Kolls, J.D.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Kolls is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Orthofix International N.V. He joined the company in 2004 as Vice President, General Counsel. Before joining Orthofix, Mr. Kolls was Associate General Counsel for CSX Corporation. Mr. Kolls began his legal career as an attorney in private practice with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. He received a B.A. from Georgetown University in 1985 and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law School in 1988.
Denise E. Pedulla, J.D., M.P.H.
Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer
Ms. Pedulla joined Orthofix in June 2008 as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer. She is responsible for managing Orthofix’s domestic and international corporate compliance and government affairs programs. Ms. Pedulla was formerly Vice President, Compliance, Regulatory and Government Affairs and Associate General Counsel for Fresenius Medical Care North America. An attorney, Ms. Pedulla has more than 14 years of experience in health care regulatory compliance and is certified in health care compliance by the Health Care Compliance Association. She earned a BS in Nursing and Psychology from Boston College in 1981, a J.D. from Suffolk University in 1989, and received a Masters of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University in 1990.
Michael Finegan
Vice President, Corporate Development
Michael M. Finegan joined Orthofix as Vice President of Corporate Development in 2006. Mr. Finegan came to Orthofix from the Boston Scientific Corporation, where he held several positions, with the most recent as Vice President of Corporate Sales. Mr. Finegan began his career in banking with First Union (Wachovia). He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1985 with a B.A. in Economics.
Dan Yarbrough
Vice President, Investor Relations
Dan Yarbrough is Vice President of Investor Relations. He joined Orthofix in February 2006 as the Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Yarbrough has more than 11 years of experience in the health care industry and was previously with PacifiCare Health Systems for seven years as Director of Investor Relations. Prior to that he held accounting and finance positions with Kaiser Permanente and Humana. Mr. Yarbrough received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982 and became a CPA in 1984.
